President's Letter
Hello and Happy Winter!
My name is Mary Katherine McCullough, and I am the President of the Virginia Women’s Chorus. I am a third year majoring in Public Policy and Leadership & English. I joined the chorus my first semester and feel so thankful for all of the friendships and wonderful memories made. The Chorus had a successful first semester in the pandemic thanks in part to the hard work of our wonderful director, KaeRenae, and our outgoing managing and appointed boards. After a long winter break at home, I think I speak for most of the chorus when I say that I am so excited to be ~virtually~ singing again! We have so many exciting things planned, and I really hope you continue following along as we proceed with this semester.
We’ve already hit the ground running by beginning to learn How Can I Keep From Singing, which we will perform collaboratively with our wonderful alumnae at our 5th annual women against violence concert (#5thWAV). Additionally, we have been invited to sing at the Jefferson Society’s 2021 Inauguration Ball and are hard at work planning our virtual contribution. We will welcome new girls at the end of this month to continue growing our sisterhood in song!
All of these things would absolutely not be possible without our wonderful managing and appointed boards. We truly could not have asked for a better team!
