Director's Letter

Greetings Alums and Friends!

I hope this finds you well. It’s a tough time, but I’m grateful we’re able to rehearse in person.

If you’re in the area, come join us in McLeod on Feb. 19 at 8 PM for our 6th WAV concert. Some of the best a cappella groups at UVA and in the area will be joining us with their own unique contributions to our theme, “Carry On.”

We have sad news. Our spring tour to Disneyworld is not happening because they had no room for us on the schedule. We looked into substituting a tour to Nashville, but the expense and lack of interest prevented that as well. The good news is that we now know what is involved with the Disney tour and will begin preparing for it much earlier. Special shout-out to our tour managers, Lora Becker and Mary Katherine Terrell (2021) and Ashley Ford and Fiona O’Connor (2022)!

We are excited about our spring concert Saturday, April 2, at 8 PM in Old Cabell Hall auditorium. Please join us if you’re in the central Virginia.

Our new managing board and appointed board have been hard at work over winter break and bring their gifts and energy to the tapestry of the Chorus. Our website will be updated soon, so please take a look and get to know these incredible students.

We will soon have our 2021 donors listed on our website. As always, we are indebted to you for your generosity and we deeply appreciate your gifts of support. We would not be where we are without you.
