A close-up photo on part of VWC singing at a concert.

Dear alumnae and friends,

We are excited about our 36th annual Candlelight Concerts and hope you can join us if you’re in the area! Please note that our concerts this year are once again at St. Paul’s Memorial Church on the Corner. This lovely venue affords us the luxury of having real candles and having a reception following the Saturday afternoon concert. Be on the lookout for a separate email invitation to the reception next week!

The Chorus will present lovely, reflective music as well as more popular and well-known music, including Winter Song, Winter White Hymnal, and Deck the Hall. This concert will feature Snow Angel, which explores themes of love, rebirth, and beauty through the eyes of children and the heavenly army of angels that watch over them, yearning to make a difference in their lives. Haunting and poignant cello and piano lines weave through this evocative five-movement composition.

Tickets for Friday, December 6, at 8 PM may be purchased here; and Saturday, December 7, at 3:30 PM here. Sales will end 24 hours before each concert. If available, tickets may be purchased at the door.

The Managing Board, Appointed Board, and all members of the Chorus continue to work hard to create beautiful music and to foster a community of sisterhood and acceptance, and I am inspired and grateful.

I want to thank you again for your continued support of this wonderful organization. Because of you, we are able to continue to offer this unique opportunity for students to join in singing and become a part of this warm and supportive community.  We know we stand on the shoulders of you who have given hours of dedication to make the Chorus what it is today!

Yours in Vdubz Harmony,

KaeRenae
