VP's Letter
Hi guys!
My name is Maggie Hyatt, and I am absolutely delighted to be this year’s Vice President of the Chorus. To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a current third-year majoring in History and Foreign Affairs. I originally joined the chorus in my first semester at UVA and, ever since then, sisterhood in this group has been my rock, so being Vice President is the best thing for me. Last year, I had the privilege of serving as Publicity Chair, and Librarian the year before that. While I have loved designing posters and publicizing our concerts, I cannot wait to see all that 2022 has in store for me as Vice President!
Being in person, but still dealing with the pandemic has meant taking time for fun is a very important aspect of our lives. Because I live in the Chorus House, I am able to plan events like movie nights or self-care breaks. I try to have weekly recurring events to offer stability, such as saturday breakfast or dinner before rehearsal. And as the weather warms, I plan to get us outside as much as possible. Additionally, one of my main goals is to make my events fun, safe, and welcoming for all years and all people.
With so much to look forward to, I am confident that Spring 2022 will prove to be yet another wonderful and resilient semester for the Virginia Women’s Chorus. Thank you all for your continued love and support of the Chorus, without which none of what we do would be possible, and I sincerely hope you’ll be able to join us at one of our upcoming performances!
VDubz love,
Maggie Hyatt
